1-hr Presentation: Learn about Shinrin-yoku in Japan, Nature + Forest Therapy, & the Ways they Overlap

  • Waukee Public Library 950 Warrior Lane Waukee, IA, 50263 United States (map)

Have you noticed the events Waukee Parks & Recreation has been offering this year that allow residents to experience Shinrin-yoku - Japanese Forest Bathing ? Have you been curious about this practice, or maybe you participated in one of these events but would like to know more about what the practice is like in Japan?

Join us for a 1-hr presentation to learn about Shinrin-yoku in Japan, and forest therapy here in the U.S.. I will share her photos and stories from my recent trip to Japan to experience Shinrin-yoku in the forests where the practice began 40 years ago.  Try some Japanese tea and learn more about this Japanese philosophy that connects nature and wellness in a unique way!

This event is FREE and will be held at the Waukee Public Library.

If you love what you hear, catch the next City of Waukee forest therapy walk the very next day on Sunday, July 14th at the quiet & beautiful Songbird Park in Waukee. See all the details for that event here: Songbird Park Forest Therapy Walk!
