I will guide a 2-hour forest therapy walk to support Iowa non-profit, CULTIVATE: Local Food Connections. CULTIVATE’s mission to strengthen and expand our local food economy by supporting markets and infrastructure that benefit small scale producers and regenerative farming practices. They work to help local producers thrive through the support of a growing community of mindful consumers. CULTIVATE works to educate Iowa consumers about the food system, support local producers, and expand and improve central Iowa’s online shopping platform currently being trialed by the Iowa Food Co-op t help connect Iowa producers and consumers.
Registration for this event will be a donation to CULTIVATE: Local Food Connections. The suggested donation is $20, but any amount is welcome. You can make a donation through CULTIVATE's website.
This event will be held at Walnut Woods Park, (3155 Walnut Woods Dr, West Des Moines, IA 50265). The exact meeting location for the walk will be sent in a follow up email.
